The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to report on options for submitting delegation materials under its Meeting Procedures Bylaw, after rejecting a motion to reduce the minimum notice for delegation requests from 10 days to five.[1]
Regional Planning Manager Heather Kauer said delegation information needs review for defamatory content before it is included in an agenda package, and that packages are started about 14 days before meetings, with deadlines seven days before meetings.[1]
Chair Laura Patrick said late-request delegations could speak during the Town Hall portion of meetings at the committee’s discretion.[1]
The committee also asked staff to report on meeting-notification options, including notice of new meetings.[1]
