Lasqueti committee advances amended fees bylaw
The Local Trust Committee gave first and second readings to an updated fees bylaw after requesting changes to its draft.

The Lasqueti Island Local Trust Committee gave first reading, as amended, and second reading to Bylaw No. 99, an updated fees bylaw that replaces Bylaw No. 85.[1]
Before those readings, the committee requested that community benefit be reinserted in the bylaw and that section 2.1.6 and item 2 of Table 4 in the draft be deleted.[1]
Regional Planning Manager Heather Kauer said references to development permit fees had been removed because Lasqueti has no development permit areas.[1]
The committee also requested that staff add “define community benefit” to the Official Community Plan project.[1]
